Come hear about the Green School, Bali on Thursday, March 31, 2011

On Thursday, March 31 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the TCS Library, Marian and Ed Hazzard will talk about the two weeks they spent last October collecting data for a research project about Green School in Bali, Indonesia. Quite a few people who missed the presentation in January said they’d like a chance to hear about the school so here’s your chance.
Green School is now in its third year. In its own words, “Green School aims to be the #1 model of sustainability in education in the world. We aim to set the bar so high for others to aspire to. After only two years of operation, Green School is already shaking up the thinking of more conventional organizations and institutions around the world. Its teachers, students and their parents are proud to be part of this pioneering ‘work in progress’.” During the summer of 2010, enrollment at Green School doubled from 100 to over 200 students. We hope you take; advantage of this second opportunity to come and learn about this remarkable school built entirely out of bamboo! — Marian and Ed
